DOMESTIC INFANT
PROGRAM (IN STATE)
Our
Infant Program (In State) is a full service program for
married, infertile couples only. Birthparent(s) and
adoptive family are Maine residents. Maine Children's
Home provides all adoption related services with an
experienced case worker to guide you. Our professional
staff manages the home study process as well as birth parent
counseling, placement services, and post placement services.
This
program offers varying degrees of openness, as well as legal-risk
placements and non-legal-risk placements. Each couple
learns about these terms and others during their
participation in our educational program for prospective
couples. Your caseworker will talk with you about the
different options so you can decide which will be best for you.
