The generosity of donors makes it possible for our agency to carry out many of the needed services that we provide to underprivileged children and families throughout Maine. These gifts can be unrestricted or restricted to a certain program at the donor's request.  Donations can be made in the following ways:

By Phone:	You can use your credit card to donate over the phone (the Maine Children's Home accepts Visa and MasterCard). Please call 207-872-0261 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00pm and a development staff member will be glad to assist you.

In Kind Gifts:	The Maine Children's Home also accepts in kind gifts to be used in our Teen Parent School and Christmas Programs. The Maine Children's Home will accept only new items to be given to teens' children who participate in our Teen Parent School and Christmas Program. Some essential items needed for these programs include: 1,300 Children's Books 1,300 Hats and Mittens 1,300 Coloring Books and Crayons 1,300 Children's Clothing Items 1,300 Pairs of Thinsulate Gloves 1,300 Family Games Formula Baby Food Diapers Baby Clothing Donation Guidelines   Below are some guidelines for donating items to The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers.   Used Items:  Used items are accepted for the Teen Parent School Program, The Children's Place and for our annual yard sale.  Items donated for these purposes should be: 1.  Free of all stains and soil. 2.  In usable condition. 3.  Complete with all parts and pieces. Christmas Donations:  All items donated for the Christmas Program should be: 1.  Newly purchased. 2.  In it's original packaging. 3. Monetary donations can be made in honor or in memory of a special individual of your choice. The most wonderful way to honor a special person is through a donation to someone less fortunate. Acknowledgement of your gift will be sent to the family or individual that you are honoring to inform him or her of your generosity.  Please be sure to include the name and address of the individual you wish to honor so we may send an acknowledgement.
