Apply for The Christmas Program
The Christmas program at The Maine Children's Home provides boxes of clothing, toys, books and more to income eligible families for their children who are 12 and under, who live in the state of Maine, and who are willing to pick up a box in either Augusta or Waterville on our distribution day.

How to Apply
To apply, families must call our office at a time and date to be determined this fall. Only a parent or guardian of the children receiving gifts is allowed to apply. When you call, you must have all information available with you when you make the call or our volunteers will not take your call. You will need to provide:
- Names, sizes for clothing and shoes, and toy interests for all eligible children
- Social Security numbers for all income-earning adult members of the household
- Your yearly gross income
You must also provide photo ID at the time you pick up your box in either Waterville or Augusta and you must be willing to bring information that proves your income such as a copy of last year's tax return.
It is important also to know that we do not allow duplication of services. That means that if you get Christmas assistance from us, you cannot get help anywhere else for Christmas gifts. We do cross reference with other agencies. If you are found to be getting help from more than one organization, you will be dropped from our program.
