Elizabeth Dostie, LCSW
Clinical Director
Elizabeth is originally from Duluth, Minnesota. Elizabeth
has lived in Maine since 1972. She received her Master’s in
Social Work from the University of Maine, in the 90’s,
having completed her Bachelor of Arts in English at St.
Louis University in St. Louis as a young adult. Prior to
working at Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers,
Elizabeth worked for many years at a residential home for
adolescents, first as a family therapist and eventually as a
supervisor. At Maine Children’s Home Elizabeth’s position
includes oversight of three programs – Turner Family
Counseling Center , the Adoption Program,
and the Teen Parent School Program. Elizabeth would like you
to know that although she is a Clinical Director at this
juncture in her career, she is most passionate about working
with teenagers. The Teen Parent School Program on the MCH
campus is often a place she goes for a break to sit in on an
art therapy group or to troubleshoot issues such as
homelessness or a pregnancy problem with one of the young
moms. |
