The Children's Place
About The Children's Place
We provide comprehensive early care and education services for children from infancy through age five. Our fully-licensed facility accommodates a maximum of 56 children in one of five developmentally-appropriate classrooms with a low child/teacher ratio. This intimate environment enables our skilled early education teachers to provide highly individualized attention. Great care is taken to foster their unique strengths or interests and focus on areas that need further development.
Our Philosophy

The Children's Place promotes, nurtures, and enhances all areas of a child's development. Basic to our purpose is the strong belief that all children are individuals of equal worth and value who come to the program at their own developmental level, bringing with them a unique mixture of family background, culture, personality, and learning styles.
We know children are naturally curious, eager to learn, and motivated by their own desires to make sense of the world. We believe that a rich learning environment is essential in helping young children learn basic skills. Concrete and sensory materials are a vital part of this environment.
We believe that children learn from one another. We know that the growth of initiative and self-reliance is encouraged in an atmosphere of trust and structured freedom. Modeled in the classroom, the concepts of respect, responsibility, and growth through personal achievement develop positive lifelong attitudes toward learning.
We value and practice proven methods of early childhood education, gearing materials and instruction to the child's level, encouraging choices and decision-making and supporting problem solving, because they develop each child's future educational growth.
