Here on campus, the snow is melting, the sun is shining, and we are excited about our upcoming events in April. Included in this month's e-newsletter you will find details about our annual MCH Friends Yard Sale, Easter egg hunt and wine tasting event later this spring.

I am also honored this month to share the news about our recent Community Project Award from the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce. It is a tribute to our hardworking staff and support from readers like you.

The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers Wins Award for Top Community Project

Earlier this month, the Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers was recognized at the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner. Our agency received the award in recognition for our recent Hague Accreditation. We are proud to be one of only 204 adoption service providers in the United States to have achieved The Hague Accreditation or Approval through the Council on Accreditation for international adoption.   

Central Maine CATV will re-broadcast the Chamber Awards show on March 24 at 7:00pm and on March 25 and March 26 at 7:00am and 7:00pm. It will also air on Sunday morning at 7:00am. The broadcasts will air locally on Time Warner Cable (Channel 7 or 11).

As part of the achievement, we received a plaque and framed newspaper article, letters from Senator Olympia Snowe, Senator Susan Collins, plus Governor Paul LePage and Mike Michaud announced all honorees as a Congressional Record in Washington. More...

 Ray Haskell Ford Fishing Derby Raises $1,700

We would like to thank all the participants at this
year's Ray Haskell Ford Fishing Derby. The recent event raised $1,700 to benefit the several different programs at our agency.  

The annual event, a statewide fishing derby, included raffles and a silent auction. In total, the event paid out over $1,500 in cash and prizes. Over the past three years, the event has raised $8,200.  More... 

You're Invited!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt   
  

Join us on Saturday, April 23rd for one of the biggest Easter egg hunts in the area! The event will take place on our campus at 93 Silver Street in Waterville. The festivities start at 9 a.m. for children age 3 and under and 9:15 a.m. for pre-school to second grade aged children. As part of the event, two children will win a bike!

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Colby students and New Balance Employees that have volunteered to be part of this fun and exciting event! More...

Time for Spring Cleaning!   

Donate your items to the annual MCH Friends Yard Sale before Saturday, April 30 and you can help send a child to summer camp.  All proceeds from the event will benefit The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers' camp scholarship program. More...
