January 2012

Greetings!

Sharon Abrams, Maine Childrens HomeWhile it's already late January, I still want to take the opportunity to wish you and your family happy New Year!

In looking back at 2011, I would like to thank our tremendous staff and volunteers for all of the things we accomplished. Here are just a few of our many accomplishments:

  • Our Christmas program and volunteers distributed boxes of gifts and clothing to more than 1,600 financially disadvantaged children in Maine
  • We raised funds to send 105 kids to summer camp
  • 79 children attended The Children's Place Early Care and Education Program
  • 22 students attended the Teen Parent School Program
  • 231 children and adults received counseling through the HAT Family Counseling Program
  • 90 families were served in the Adoption Program
  • We had more than 300 people volunteer their time to help our wide range of programs and fund raising efforts

As the year begins, I want to personally thank you for your support over the past year.

As we continue to grow and help children and families across the world, I would like to ask that you simply forward this e-mail to friends or family that might want to learn more about our agency. One of the best ways to do this is to forward this e-mail to them, encourage them to sign up for our e-newsletter (using the link on the right), and learn about our fun and exciting news and events!

Thanks for your continued support and the best to you and your family in 2012!

Sincerely,

Sharon Abrams, Executive Director
