June 2011

Greetings!

Sharon Abrams, Maine Childrens HomeSummer has finally arrived! It's great to see all the kids outside on our campus enjoying fun and games with one another.

June has been a busy month for us. Last week, we benefited from an amazing fundraiser called "Italiaoutdoors Night at The Homestead." It featured gourmet food with paired wines, as well as a silent auction that raised money for the agency's summer camp scholarship program. The event was an enormous success and raised over $1,200.

Most recently, we received a donation of over $1,300 worth of copper wire from Oxford Networks. The wire will be used in creative art projects and in art therapy sessions. An unexpected benefit was the excitement from the kids when they saw the huge bucket truck from Oxford Networks arrive. There's something kids just love about trucks!

On behalf of the agency, thank you to everyone involved in the "Italiaoutdoors Night" fundraiser and the Oxford Networks donation.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Sincerely,

Sharon Abrams, Executive Director
