The Padgett and Blanchette families celebrate their adoption at the Oxford Hills Adoption Celebration. |
The celebration, made possible by Second Best Ministries and the Department of Health and Human Services and attended by close to 100 people, was a way to celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month and provide seven Mainefamilies a tremendous reason to be thankful--just in time for Thanksgiving. Judge Dana Hanley of the Oxford County Probate Court, was proud to introduce these families to the supportive audience.
The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers participated in the adoption of two of these families, the Padgetts and the Blanchettes, by conducting their home studies and supervision of placement. A representative of the Maine Children's Home was present at this ceremony to congratulate these families who have chosen to adopt two special needs daughters from China, Joelle Padgett and Gen Blanchette.![]()
