Help Make Winter Warmer for Maine Youth
Each winter, the Christmas / Winter Essentials Program at Maine Children’s Home delivers warmth, joy, and essential support to Maine children and teens whose families are facing financial hardship.
In 2024, thanks to community partners like you, we provided personalized care packages to 1,415 youth across the state — each filled with warm clothing, hygiene items, books, toys, and more.
In 2025, we aim to reach even more, and we need your help.
Start making a difference today by registering your business or organization to participate in this year’s Giving Tree Campaign.
Register and Choose How You Want to Participate
From October through December, businesses, schools, and organizations across Maine take part in the Giving Tree Campaign in a variety of meaningful ways:
Host a Giving Tree Display
Create a festive display with gift tags featuring real wishes from local children and teens.
We provide the tags — your community brings the joy.
Hold a Gift Drive
Organize a general gift collection drive.
We'll give you a list of needed items to guide donations.
Display a Giving Tree Poster
Spread the word in your space by hanging a Giving Tree poster.
Posters include ways to give, urgent needs, and online wish list links.
Set Up a Collection Spot
Encourage community giving by setting up a donation bin for Giving Tree items.
Once your drive wraps up, simply deliver the collected items to Maine Children’s Home.
Do It All!
Combine any or all of the above options to multiply your impact.
Be Part of Something Bigger
Your participation helps bring comfort and joy to youth in need during the winter season. Whether you’re a small business, a large organization, a school, or a faith-based group — there’s a way for you to help.
Let’s bring warmth and hope to Maine children and teens — together.
Make a Monetary Donation to Christmas / Winter Essentials Program
Monetary donations to Christmas / Winter Essentials Program help with the costs of running the program, such as purchasing specific items or clothing sizes when there is a shortage.
