Help Make Winter Warmer for Maine Youth

Each winter, Christmas / Winter Essentials Program at Maine Children’s Home provides warmth, joy, and essential support to children and teens across Maine whose families are facing financial hardship.

In 2024, thanks to community supporters and volunteers, we provided personalized care packages to 1,415 youth — each filled with warm clothing, hygiene items, books, toys, and more.

In 2025, we aim to reach even more — and your local businesses and organizations are helping make that possible.

Drop Off Donations at a Collection Spot

This season, caring businesses, schools, and organizations across Maine are serving as Giving Tree Collection Spots — making it easy for you to donate new winter essentials and gifts.

How It Works

  1. Find a convenient location in the list below.
  2. Drop off your donation of new clothing, winter accessories, hygiene items, books, toys, or other essentials.
  3. We’ll do the rest! Your gift will be delivered to Maine children and teens through the Christmas / Winter Essentials Program.
