Christmas in July
Collecting donations for the families of Christmas / Winter Essentials Program at MCH

Become a Christmas in July Collection Site or Gift Drive Location
Christmas in July is a summer campaign by Maine Children’s Home (MCH) that spreads the spirit of MCH’s Christmas / Winter Essentials Program — our winter and holiday assistance program — throughout the year. During this month-long campaign, local businesses generously volunteer as gift drive and collection locations where the public can donate much-needed, brand new items (listed below) to be included in care packages for children and teens. These care package items are distributed during the winter to support families facing financial hardship.
Since Christmas / Winter Essentials Program requires so many hours of organizing and planning to supply care packages of gifts to more than 1,500 children, it is important that donations to the program are given throughout the year than only during the holiday season.
This is why the Christmas in July campaign exists — to help Christmas / Winter Essentials Program prepare for a successful season of giving!
