When Jill learned she was adopted, her parents shared a simple truth that stayed with her for life: her birth mother loved her so deeply that she wanted Jill to have the family she could not provide. Jill grew up knowing she was wanted, surrounded by parents who loved her unconditionally and who honored the courage of her birth mother. 

Years later, Jill reconnected with her birth mother, Theresa, bringing even more love into her life. When Jill’s adoptive father met Theresa for the first time, he thanked her for the incredible gift of choosing adoption so that he could raise Jill. It was a moment of gratitude and recognition, a reminder that Jill’s life was shaped by the love and sacrifices of many people. 

Today, Jill’s story has come full circle. She serves on the Maine Children’s Home Board of Directors, helping ensure other children and families find the same hope and support she received.
